Single and Album available for download - or on CD
Anyone who's ever crossed a desert or felt like they've been truly thirsty will understand what this song is all about... 'Border' is from the new album 'Underwater Breathing' The contraption I'm playing is affectionately known to my friends as the Eklectic Piano. It was custom built for me... hand crafted by David Jackson with electronic doo-daditry by John Bosua. Housing my synth, a looper-mixer, some drum boxes and a vocoder, the instument allows you to play with two hands and then trigger (or record) loops + control FX with your feet. It's REALLY GOOD FUN to play. This video was made by Chris Osborne.... he insisted... so what was I to say?! Chris and his trusty crew exist to prove the fact that "many Osbornes maketh light work"  Thanks mate... The audio is a live take... Also, the album version features Jacob Borg who is famous not only for being my bud (!) but also for playing drums in stuck on elle modern joy and jinja safari. Thanks bloke.

Just before I began (and finished!) recording the 'underwater breathing' album, I started out on a band record. I'll get back to it shortly but until then I thought I'd post a little "rough mix" snippet of where I'm at with it! This is the instrumental section from a song that is almost finished - ONE THOUSAND HILLS

It's a story that has come out of my experiences working in the very, very beautiful RWANDA.

The video was shot with some new friends (rehearsing a performance just before they hit the stage) and also of an epic swim I had with some of the kids in Zanzibar. Hope you like it !
